Uber is the biggest rage right now. Everyone seems to love it, people seem to want to use it all the time and it seems to be the new wave of the transportation future. That’s why the company already has partnerships with some of the biggest travel corporations in the world, including Starwood, Hilton and IHG. However, the past few weeks has been quite big for the company as it has announced a staggering change to their policy by offering helicopter rides and yachts to their users. If you’re in the market for a helicopter to take you from here to there right now, your prayers have finally been answered.
This week it was announced that the car service is now offering all Executive Platinum Status American Airlines members as well as AAdvantage Aviator MasterCard cardholders free rides and additional points. American Airlines Executive Platinum Status members will receive a $25 code to use anytime you book fare. Additionally, all cardholders will earn double points anytime you pay for your ride with Uber using your card. The only catch for this promotion is that it ends on July 31, 2016. No, there’s another catch; if you do earn points doubled through the promotion, you won’t see them until after the promotion ends.
The idea is mostly designed so that travelers can get from their hotel or their home to the airport without issue. Promotionally speaking, it’s a stellar way to get people to want to go ahead and book an Uber ride to take them to and/or from the airport without much issue, and it’s designed to increase business in areas where it might not already be as big as it could be. The promotion requires you are already an Uber member, so go ahead and sign up now to take advantage since it is a short-lived collaboration.
