March 15 is Free Ice Cream Day at Dairy Queen

Free Ice Cream Day

March 15 is a beautiful day in 2016. Not only is it the day my sweet little boy and my sweet little girl, our third and fourth and final babies, turn 2-years-old (how has this time passed so quickly?), it’s also free ice cream day at Diary Queen! That’s right. Last year, the ice cream giant decided to try something they called Fanniversary to celebrate their anniversary and their biggest fans. They gave away free ice cream cones, and it was (shockingly) a big hit. Free Cone Day is March 15, 2016, and it’s food a good cause. It’s being supported by a partnership between the Children’s Miracle Network and Dairy Queen, and it’s looking to be a beautifully warm day down here in Florida, so free ice cream seems to be just the answer.

Now we have to answer the biggest question you have; how do you get free ice cream? It’s easy. All you have to do is stop by your local Dairy Queen and make a donation to the Children’s Miracle Network. If you make a donation, you get a free cone. Don’t be too picky, though; the restaurant is offering small soft-serve vanilla cones to all their donors. It’s for a good cause, and it’s delicious. Technically, you don’t even have to make a donation to get a free cone. Everyone who goes into the shop gets a free cone simply because they walked in, but it’s for kids and kids rule.

So, take it up one yourself to take the kids on a free ice cream date Tuesday. Take what you would have spent and donate it. Give your own kids each a dollar and let them make their own donation; just donate something since this is an event for children who so desperately need our help. Free ice cream is priceless, and so are the lives and good health of our kids.
