Cars people regret buying are abundant since when we’re younger or have less money it’s function over form. Getting from point A to B is more important than looking good or even worrying over the amenities. But still, people can’t help but regret their purchases when looking back.
Acura ILX
Not only was this model pricey, but everything from the look to sluggish acceleration hit a sour note with a lot of drivers. Even the updated 2016 model didn’t serve as a redeemer to the issues that people found with these cars.
Jeep Compass
When it comes to cars that people regret buying, one wouldn’t think that a Jeep would make this list. However, the old Compass had issues with the driver seat, indicator visibility, and overall lower comfort than many other vehicles. Plus, with so little horsepower it’s tough to think of this as a real Jeep.
Nissan Pathfinder
It sounds petty to state that drivers found this rig boring, but that’s one of the biggest complaints. A lot of people state that it’s more like a minivan, a vehicle that’s been easy to see on a list of cars that people regret buying.
Kia Rio
Even though it’s affordable, a lot of people have regretted buying this vehicle since it doesn’t live up to the standards it sets. Less than fifty percent of people who bought one stated that they would buy it again. Limited cargo room and backseat are big issues for some folks.
Dodge Dart
Just the name sounds odd, but over fifty percent of purchases said they weren’t happy after buying this. The sluggish acceleration and the difficulty in finding a comfortable seated position are just two issues. But a poor AC system is kind of a problem.
Subaru Baja
According to many users, the main function of the Baja was to rust. Fluid leaks were a problem for a lot of buyers, and its cargo capacity was an issue even though people knew what they were getting. Surprisingly, people had no trouble getting rid of these when selling them.
Dodge Grand Caravan
It’s got a lower price tag than other vehicles, which is nice, but the reason for this is clear once you drive it. The second-row seats are not comfortable, the sound system is horrible, and cheap upholstery doesn’t last even under mild wear and tear.
Chrysler 200
The clumsy handling and base four-cylinder engine make this car feel severely outdated. As many users have stated, there’s too much road noise and a rough ride. Not only that, but the cruise control is less than reliable.
Nissan Versa Note
You get what you pay for, which says it all about this car. It’s too small, has uncomfortable seats, and the road noise is horrible. The price is reasonable, but after assessing the issues it feels as though it’s a bit too high.
Mercedes-Benz CLA
How could a luxury car find its way onto this list, right? There are other luxury cars, thankfully. The lack of comfort, the stiff suspension, and the overall size are not worth the price tag.
Nissan Sentra
In all seriousness, this is not the type of car one would find remarkable. It’s serviceable at best and sells well, but that has more to do with the utilitarian nature of most cars. It’s not the worst car in the world, but it’s nothing special.
Hyundai Veloster
Despite the idea that it’s sporty, not a lot of people would buy this car again. Getting in and out of the car is kind of tough, and its sluggish acceleration isn’t something that stands out as a selling point.
Nissan Altima
You don’t want sensor malfunctions in your vehicle or non-responsive ignitions. And again, the faulty AC is another sticking point.
Ford Pinto
There’s a reason why this car was discontinued since the moderate speed is horrible. Also, the fact that a rear-end collision could result in damage to the fuel tank, and possible leaks and fires, was a huge red flag.
AMC Pacer
An engine that was too big for the car tended to cause damage to the steering mechanism. Even if that were the only issue, it would have driven many people away, no pun intended.
