Unless you’re a fashionista or have close ties to the fashion industry, then let it be. Seriously, the fashion from your time will come around eventually, but until it does you’re just living in the past.

Keeping up with technology

Let’s face it, keeping up with technology these days is more of a survival trait than a trend. If you can text, figure out your email, and even, if possible, figure out Facetime, you’re doing good. Otherwise, that’s what kids and grandkids are for when you need help.

Rigorous exercise

Be romantic

Romance is kind of up to the individual, but at this age, you don’t have as much time for the courting game. Romance after 60 is more or less getting a cup of coffee and taking a walk. Anything else is kind of extraneous. Netflix ‘n Chill folks, or chess and tea, whatever keeps you satisfied.

Go back to school

You’re never too old to learn, but these days, college is tough for a generation that grew up with different beliefs. At this point in life, you should have learned enough to survive, the rest you can get without paying more than a few late fees at the library.

Adopt a pet

Some people like the added stress of a get-together since they’re social and for one fleeting moment forget how much work it is. At this age, it’s better to be invited than to keep inviting people over. Save your sanity and your home and accept an invitation instead of sending them out.

Comics aren’t just for kids

Flickr

People are certainly going to ridicule you for this since comics are for kids, adolescents, and guys who end up living in their parents’ basement. It’s also a move backward, in a psychological sense. At this age, you should stick to novels and newspapers.
