What’s worse than having to iron a bunch of clothes? How about when something accidentally melts onto your iron. Now you have an iron that will smear a gooey, burnt mess all over your nice clothes — making that dreaded chore even worse.
Here’s how to fix this: turn the iron on as high as it can go. Throw some salt on a bit of newspaper, then lay that on the ironing board. Run the hot iron over the salt, and the melted gooeyness should come right off.
