You Can Have Stress Free Holidays

The holidays are a favorite time of year for many. The smell of the spruce Christmas tree, the cooler weather, and the holiday spirit that seems to be everywhere are all great things that come along with the holiday. Unfortunately, having a Christmas list of 45 people to shop for, dinners to plan, holiday parties every weekend, Christmas pageants at your kids’ schools, holiday baking, and holiday parking at the mall are not so amazing. If you stress through the holidays like so many of us do, stop. It’s time to relax and just enjoy.

Money Savers

Many people stress about money during the holidays. It’s expensive to buy gifts for so many people, especially when you have kids of your own to shop for. One way to make sure this problem isn’t much of a problem anymore is to buy for the group. Instead of buying individual gifts, buy something for everyone. A blu-ray player or an ice cream machine is a great way to give to an entire family in one gift.

Your Christmas Morning Look

If you are anything like me, you wake up extra early on Christmas morning to put on your makeup and fix your hair so that you don’t look like walking death in your Christmas morning photos. The secret here is to play up the eyes by wearing a little concealer beneath, some mascara, and a little lip gloss. You’ll look great in every photo.

Re-Gifting Done Right

Technically, re-gifting isn’t the best thing you can do, but it isn’t wrong. If you received a fondue set for Christmas from your mother-in-law last year and you hate fondue, you can give it away. However, you can only re-gift something that is new and never opened. You can only give it to someone who does not know the person who gave it to you. This means you can’t re-gift it to your sister-in-law. However, you can give it to your assistant at work.
