The Power of Positive Thinking

You’ve heard about the power of positive thinking, and we are here to tell you that it is indeed a real power (hey, pretty awesome to finally have a super power, isn’t it?). Experts say there are two types of people; the ones who view their glass as half-full and the ones who view their glass as half-empty (I say there are three types because I view half of a glass as room to add more of whatever cocktail sounds good at the moment). The truth of the matter is that the way you think can affect your health and your outlook on life, which is why it is powerful to think positive. Here are a few ways you can change your thinking to make it a little more positive.

Closed Doors

When one door closes another one opens. Instead of spending too much time looking at the closed door and wishing it would open back up and let you back in, start looking for the one that opened in its place.

Life is Too Short

Life is too short to be spent doing things you don’t like, with people you don’t like, and living a life that isn’t what you want. Stop worrying about what other people think and start living your life the way that makes you happy.

Effort

Your happiness is a direct result of your own effort. If you don’t put enough effort into life you won’t be happy. Stop complaining and get to work.

Stop Comparing

There is always going to be someone prettier, richer, smarter, funnier, sweeter, and simply more awesome that you are, but that doesn’t mean you are not awesome yourself. It just means that no one can see your awesomeness if you are constantly comparing it to someone else’s. Stop trying to be someone else and start learning to be yourself.
