Four Ways To Slash Your Grocery Bill On Your Next Trip To The Store

Doesn’t it seem like your grocery bill is going up every time you go to the grocery store?  It is.  Prices of groceries are on the rise.  So what can you do to save money on your grocery bill?  It turns out there are several different things that you can do to lower it.

The first thing you can do to lower your grocery bill is to use coupons.  You don’t have to be an extreme coupon expert to save money with coupons.  Just take a few minutes on Sundays to cut coupons out of your paper.  You can easily shave between ten and twenty dollars a week with very minimal effort.

Shop sales.  There actually are sales in the grocery store but we tend not to notice them because we are in such a hurry.  Take time to browse the circulars before you get to the store.  Many stores will honor the sale price of other stores if you have the circular with you to show to the cashier.

The next thing you can do is switch to generic.  Not all generics are good quality but some of them are.  Some of them are even better than name brand.  You will just have to experiment and see what goes over well with your family.

For a four tip, shop by a list.  If you go in the store without a list, you are just asking for a sky high grocery bill because you have nothing to guide you.  When you make a list at home, you can plan your meals out and plan them economically.  You also know exactly what you are after and don’t add as many extra items to your cart.  With these tips, you will have a lower grocery bill.
