Fast food joints are quintessentially American, offering everything from Taco Bell’s midnight snacks to McDonald’s lunches. Despite attempts at healthier options, they’re mostly known for affordable, grease-laden delights, serving as a testament to America’s indulgence in quick, tasty, but not necessarily nutritious meals. In a surprising twist, some fast food chains are so bad they’ve become infamous, turning their very names into jokes. They’ve disappointed and disgusted patrons with their appalling standards. For those who value their health and taste buds, we’ve compiled a list of fast food places best avoided.
#1: Arby’s
When it comes to fast food, most of the time, you can never fully trust the establishment. Take this anecdote for example, “My college roommate ordered a chicken wrap at Arby’s and they made it with bone in chicken wings. I laughed. He didn’t.”

For some reason, we are always sold the idea that fast food can be as good and as fresh as real food. But more often than not, this is the kind of thing you end up dealing with… This person should just be thankful bones is all they found in their wrap!
#2: Dairy Queen
“I got some food from Dairy Queen in 2009 and found partially dried blood sticking the paper to the bottom of the box after I finished eating. I haven’t gone back to one since, not even for a Blizzard.”

When things like this happen, it’s safe to say that they generally make people never want to revisit these establishments again. This person won’t even come back for an ice cream, even though their bad experience came from a burger…
#3: Taco Bell
“We came through Taco Bell and got some nachos,” Joseph Richardson said. But once Kailynn got to the bottom of her triple-layer entree, she says she found a full-length, acrylic French-tip fingernail buried in with the beans. It’s gross.”

Can you imagine experiencing something as disgusting as this? People always worry about finding hair in their food, but we’re pretty sure finding a stick-on fingernail is much, much worse. And the worst part about this particular discovery is that it was towards the end of the meal..
#4: Bojangles
“Fried chicken means RAW CHICKEN WITH BREADING. “I’m sorry about that” and returning my money doesn’t cut it. Repulsed.” – Beth C. It’s safe to say that Beth was not overexaggerating when she said she was eating raw chicken…

Let’s be honest, this is probably everybody’s worse nightmare. When we go to a restaurant, any restaurant, whether it is fast food or a fine establishment, we expect a certain standard. Or at the very least for the food to be cooked all the way through…
