Facing rejection is absolutely no oneâs favorite thing to do. After all, rejection is a ânoâ and hearing no is never any fun. Unfortunately, we all face rejection at some point in our lives. Some of us face it more than once â or even twice. Some of us feel that rejection is all we get because we focus more on that than on the positives that life has thrown our way. No matter how often youâre rejected, it never gets any easier. However, these tips can help you to handle rejection with class and dignity.
Know it Happens to Everyone
Everyone on the planet at some point in their lives is going to face rejection. Even your favorite movie star, singer, politician or public figure has faced rejection at some point in their lives. Even the most successful, together, with-it people you know have faced rejection. Itâs not just you.
Rejection Isnât a Bad Thing
Itâs easy to look at rejection as being a bad thing; but itâs really not. No, it doesnât feel good and no, itâs no fun. However, itâs productive. Being rejected is like making a mistake; it teaches a lesson. It teaches you something that youâll carry with you forever; youâll learn from it. Youâll learn what you did wrong, what you could have done better and what you did that just didnât work. From this knowledge youâll learn how to do it right, how to be better and how to make things work in the future. Itâs knowledge thatâs too good to ignore.
Itâs Not Personal
No matter what type of rejection youâre facing, itâs not personal. Really, itâs not. Even if youâve been rejected by the person of your dreams, itâs not personal. Itâs not that youâre not good enough for him or her; itâs that theyâre not the right person for you.
