As soon as the ball drops on New Yearās Eve, I will be able to officially say, āIāll be 30 this year,ā which is fine by me. Age, after all, isnāt anything but a number. I have no qualms about getting older. I like myself more and more each year (I think Iām pretty cool, as conceited as that may sound) and I think Iām going to really enjoy being 30. However, I donāt want to get old. I want to be young forever, even why my license says Iām old. Here are a few things that Iāve heard will keep me ā and you ā young forever.
Be a Child
Just because we are getting older doesnāt mean we have to act like an adult all the time. Iām the first one to admit Iām a little bit overly responsible when it comes to my life and my own kids, but when Iām not with my kids and I know theyāre safe, happy, and secureā¦believe me I will be the first one to let loose and have a good time. If every night was prom night, Iād be so happy. I like to goof off, have fun, be a little silly, and let the ridiculousness show. It keeps me young.
Exercise
I may look like a 10-year-old boy with my bathing suit on, but that doesnāt mean Iām not worried things will start sagging and bagging at some point. Iām not okay with that, so I simply work out. Exercise keeps us young, makes us look good, and decreases our level of stress. Whatās so bad about that?
Embrace the Pale
Now that things like Twilight are cool, Iāve learned to embrace my pale skin. I like to spend time in the sun, but I donāt want cancer or wrinkles and leathery skin, so I wear sunscreen. Instead of complaining about my pale skin, I simply embrace it and pretend to glitter.
