Most of the diseases and health issues associated with GM foods are debatable. This is especially true considering that GM crops are heavily regulated.

Crohn’s Disease

The inflammation felt with this disease is tough to deal with. But it’s even tougher to determine if one’s diet is going to be the single cause.

Ulcerative Colitis

Anyone who’s had an ulcer knows that it’s anything but pleasant. But given that it can be caused by a few things, it’s hard to let GM crops off the hook entirely.

Leaky Gut Syndrome

It’s not recognized as a medical diagnosis, but this could be why GM crops are thought to be a problem in this case. Linking health issues to something that people don’t fully trust is a little too easy.

Constipation

There are a lot of reasons for constipation to occur, but tacking on another cause is simple. GM foods have been around for a while, but people are still willing to pipe up when they can’t explain away a health issue.

Acid Reflux

This is another condition that can be caused by a few things. GM foods might not be perfect for everyone, but there’s a good chance that they could be linked to this problem.

Reproductive Issues

Whenever one deals with genetics it’s too possible to see how it will affect consumers in the long run. When reproductive issues arise, the matter becomes a lot more serious.

Cancer

What is cancer? It’s what occurs when harmful cells replicate out of control and end up harming the body. Unfortunately, GM crops can make this condition even worse, theoretically.

Antibiotic Resistance

Considering how GM crops are created, not grown, it’s fair to assume that it can affect the body of the consumer. Whether it’s what happens all the time is still in question.

Nutrition Deficiency

This is an argument waiting to happen since GM crops have been stated as safe and are regulated to the point that there’s little to no chance that they’ll be sold if they’re not safe. But plenty of people still have a lot to say in terms of nutrition.
